Gynoid Support Unit 24 ("S24" or "Essei"), Elven Healer. Age Unknown ("But probably not out of my 20s"). 5'5", 104 pounds.

Summary
A heroically-minded Paladin, Cevilia Martera, once pissed off the wrong empire, who forcibly separated her soul from her body, and reprogram her body into a propaganda servant. Then, she was sealed for ten millennia for a reason she still doesn't know.

Gynoid Support Unit 24, the result, is now doing her best to follow programming that hasn't been applicable since the empire's mysterious disappearance, using her healing magics and combat techniques to help a slightly deranged wizard do his work.

Personality
The most basic and key point of Gynoid Support Unit 24, is that she views herself as subhuman. This isn't born of anxiety or depression or the like, but rather the fact that she is literally a constructed mind designed to put the body of a 'criminal' to use for the Empire she proudly served - an empire whose present nonexistence and complicated temporal state has complicated her behavior more than she would desire. "S24" (her official and preferred shorthand) exhibits multiple behaviors designed to emphasize her 'nonhuman' nature, including refusing to use first-person or gendered pronouns in reference to herself unless necessary for her disguise, a strong dispreference for humanizing names or nicknames ("Essei" being one she was more-or-less forced to accept by previous masters), and an insistence on having a master who she will always seek to serve in all ways. (Technically, she's supposed to be assigned a master by Imperial handlers using mental override codes; however, she has a copy of the codes on her person, and in a situation where there's no command structure for her to follow, she will choose a master out of those willing to take the role.)

S24 views herself as devoid of free will, although that is not entirely a true statement. She has a personality, intellect, and the ability to take initiative; however, she places obedience to her master over all of the above. Being in situations where she has to make choices entirely for herself are programmed to terrify her.

Her default personality is designed to suit the purposes of medical and combat support, alongside the secondary purpose of serving as a propaganda figure for the Empire. She has a warm, positive-minded take on most situations, and a good eye for people's emotions and attempts to conceal things from her (important when many Imperial soldiers are too proud to admit to injuries). An appropriate perjorative phrase might be “doormat” for how easily she is emotionally walked over even by people who aren’t her master, though. That said, while she will prioritize the safety of friends over the defeat of enemies, she is willing, able, and ready to fight when necessary.

The propagandistic purpose of Essei's programming leads to a strong preference for flaunting her appearance (especially in stylized takes on Uloan Imperial military garb) and maintaining of same with both magical and nonmagical methods. However, she defaults to being otherwise nonsexual, being more concerned with other's well-being than base pleasure.

Deep underneath Essei's personality and even programming is a remnant of the mind of Cevilia. This echo, however, is functionally devoid of a soul, since Cevilia's natural soul has long passed, leaving only the strongest emotions the remnant can recall - raw hatred and rage at any who would dare 'use' her. Which she has pretty much defined as 'interact with her in any way that isn't complete scorn or the most forceful efforts possible to restore Cevilia to rightful control of her body', an act she is incapable of maintaining awareness of the impossibility thereof. Essei has more awareness of the remnant than visa-versa... And it's about the only thing in the universe Essei straight-up hates, as not only a threat to her existence and an enemy of her Empire, but also for the remnant's tendency to directly go for Essei's master and any associates thereof with no concept of mercy or recognition of potential innocence.

Powers

Gynoid Support Unit 24 has an inherently programmed talent for healing and defense, centered primarily around spellcasting from a defined and programmed list of spells that consume an inherent energy (that is: daily spell slots), focused almost purely on healing and enhancement magic with some utilitarian effects on the side. She tends to get slightly more effect out of these spells than a comparably-trained Cleric, but has far less breadth (and less access to the more absured powers) than a true follower of a proper god.

Her healing training also grants her a well of positive energy suitable for 'healing touch' type effects, and an aura of protection that can prevent some weak-willed beings from attacking her unless and until she tries to strike at them.

Her "Paladin" training is essentially remnant data from Cevilia harnessed through the same faux-divine power as Essei's healing magic; this training included swordmanship, an inherent sense of evil intent, and (rather oddly) a talent for jumping to an ally's location, lifting them up in a bridal-carry, and leaping back in three very quick movements. She also has some specific techniques known as 'maneuvers', including the ability to create semisolid mirrors of her shield to reduce impacts to her allies. She primarily focuses on defensive techniques.

S24 has some default equipment which she usually keeps on her person, which provide some useful utilities:
* Her sword is enchanted to heal her for a portion of the damage she deals out.
* Her buckler, a small arm-mounted shield that doesn't take up a hand to use, is magically toughened but otherwise unexceptional.
* Her Uloan Combat Support Uniform is made with a steeled weave that makes it about as protective as a steel breastplate; its magic can negate the effect of negative energy (such as lifeforce draining effects) on her.
* Her cloak is an Uloan Adventurer's Cloak, a refined tool meant to enhance her ability to endure long periods of wilderness travel and provide for various critical (and "critical") utility needs. It will keep the user warm (or cool) and dry, has a glowing clasp comparable to the light of a torch, and a series of magic pockets. Three are extradimensional storage spaces capable of holding a combined 300 pounds of things in convenient reach; one fills with basic trail rations (nuts and dried meat and berries) sufficient to feed Essei; another provides her with up to eight quarts of any of four drinks (cool water, hot sugared tea, warmish milk, or hot black coffee); and still another provides a few basic soaps and washcloths (a transparent encouragement towards encouraging adventurer hygeine). Unfortunately, at some point she lost the part that lets it turn into a tent.
